Synopsis

Sally would love to go to the amusement park to try all the rides and have some fun. Dad actually shares her passion for the idea – he absolutely loves candyfloss and ice cream and soft drinks and burnt almonds, and he is furthermore the world champion of “bumper cars”, he claims. The only trouble is that it is way too expensive to go there. But then Sally hears about the concept of a “Swear Box” and then she gets an idea…

Reviews

"Hugely entertaining " – (Information)

"Outspoken, politically incorrect and free from raised fingers and spelt buns" – (Litteratursiden)

"We didn't have any doubts about this series. We knew right away that it would be perfect for the Polish market, though we didn't expect such great success. We have trouble seeing the series as picture books, not because of the amount of text, but the format and the target reader, because it's directed at a double reader: at kids that are a bit older than the usual picture book readers and at their parents (as in the case of Shrek). I'm not sure who has more fun reading these books: parents or children?" – Katarzyna Biegańska (Polish editor at Dwukropek)
