Synopsis
A collection of picture books, converted into a traditional read-aloud format and giving parents a tool to enable them to read 20 minutes per day to their children, thus creating the foundation for good reading habits.
Studies show that if you read aloud to your children, they will have a clear linguistic advantage, and find it much easier to learn to read and write when they start school. The texts are suitable for dialogical reading - guidance can be found in the parent guide and conversation questions after each story.
The picture books include:
- The Witch by Zakiya Ajmi & Anne Louise Laugesen
- Magnus & Mini by Siri Melchior
- Three Robbers and a Sausage Lion by Thorstein Thomsen & Rasmus Bregnhøi
- The Shy Girl in the Sky by Zakiya Ajmi & Anne Louise Laugesen
- Magnus & Grandma's Mobile by Siri Melchior
- The Grumpiest Man in the World by Kim Langer, Thorbjørn Petersen & Mårdøn Smet
- Aunty's Laundry by Zakiya Ajmi & Anne Louise Laugesen
- Dusty by Siri Melchior
Reviews
"A collection of beautiful picture books from some of our very best authors and illustrators. The book is designed for dialogical reading, and the questions after each story are good for opening up the narrative and associating the themes with the child's own life. The stories also work well without the didactic approach, so you can just enjoy the good stories and the beautiful illustrations." – (Library Review (Lektørudtalelse)
