Synopsis

A wonderful new book featuring Leopold the pig! One day, when Leopold is out shopping with his mum, they meet Svein Pölse... Leopold's mum giggles silly and Leopold thinks she's stupid. And Svein Pölse... he just wants to get rid of him! The book deals with the theme of children of divorce and the feelings that can arise when mum or dad gets a new partner.

The stories about Leopold are humorous, and the language is subtle without any finger-pointing, even though the subject matter can be quite serious. It all takes place in a fun pig universe with lots of funny pig expressions. There's always a basis for a good laugh - for both children and their grown-ups - and a good chat about emotions!

Reviews

"How do you react when jealousy strikes? Leopold shows this quite well in the drawings with his striking facial expressions. You can use the book in dialogue with a child who experiences jealousy when a parent gets a new partner. It can also be read as an entertaining story about an emotional cute pig" – (Lektørudtalelse (Library review)
