Synopsis
Lovisa and Elvi - also referred to as Pair of Queens - are best of friends, living cosily next to each other in the small village of Hammenhög, Österlen, Sweden.
The pair set out to the Antique Round in Simrishamn to have Lovisa's sculpture, also referred to as "Helga Mueller", assessed. There she falls prey to the small-time crook, Edward, who has made it his sad (a comical) way of life to trick unsuspecting spinsters into thinking he is looking for love.
Sensible Elvy immediately sees through his pretence, but Lovisa is really flattered - so flattered that she does not notice that Jens - their shy friend at home also has a fond eye on her.
