Synopsis
When Alma's beloved grandmother dies, the family inherits her fine china. For Alma, every plate, cup and bowl is filled with her grandmother's laughter, warm hugs and good stories. But does a busy family with a new little brother even have the space and need for fine china?
At the back of the book are fact pages about inheritance and about hand-painted Danish porcelain, created by Royal Copenhagen in 1775.
With lovely artwork by Aniki Deichmann.
Reviews
"This is a really nice story about loss and memory. The book would be really nice for a conversation about losing a grandparent, and about how to remember the person. There is a gentle and nice atmosphere in the story, even though the grandmother dies. It works really well to use an heirloom to remember and talk about the person and the loss you feel." – (Danish Library Review (Lektørudtalelse)
