She started her professional career as a designer and stylist, but in later years she has published an extensive amount of books for children and young people. She has published more than 40 book, many of which are sold in translation. She was short-listed for the Deutscher Jugendbuch Award in 2019 with her series about Mira (with illustrations by Rasmus Bregnhøi).
