Synopsis

Going back to school after the summer holidays may be boring, but when Kalinda starts 6th grade, there's something to talk about!

Abelone finds Kalinda exciting. She dresses differently, has red hair that looks like fire and likes to play football. But Abelone's other friends think that ‘different’ is ‘too much’, and without really giving Kalinda a chance, they kind of distance themselves from the new girl.

When Emilie from the friend group suddenly loses some money, the girls are quick to accuse Kalinda - even though they have no proof.

Abelone really doesn't know who to side with. She likes Kalinda, but she doesn't know her very well either.

Friends at the Deep End is the first book in a new series, aimed at 8-12. A second book - Hopelessly in Love - is also on the market and there are more in the pipeline.
