Synopsis

Bob the rabbit is on the lookout for the perfect carrot, which isn’t that easy to find as there are lots of gorgeous specimens on display in the supermarket. After a thorough inspection, he locates the perfect carrot and takes the bus home. Yet as soon as he gets off, he realises that something is missing. No carrot anywhere! Instead, Hildbert the dog turns up. Bob immediately tells him that his carrot is gone – oh no… Will he ever find another carrot in such a wonderfully light orangey-yellow? But then his gaze falls on Hildbert’s and his own feet – well, they do look veeery much alike. No wonder then that the two of them set off in search of the perfect, but maybe not so unique, carrot once more.

Bárður Oskarsson is a master of minimal facial expressions and brief sentences. His short tales about Rabbit and Dog always just seem to be simple, when in fact they are twisty, edgy, and full of a philosophical sense of wonder. (Age: 4+)
