Synopsis

On the way home, there is Ruben, Ask's new friend. Ruben is soft when you should be tough, he laughs when he misses a target, and he is honest when something scares him.

At school, there are the others. Ask knows that you have to be careful what you say and do. That there are rules that everyone follows. The two worlds were never meant to meet, but then one day Ruben starts in Ask's class...

With stunning artwork by Simon Bukkehave.

The author is currently short-listed for the Danish Art's Foundation's annual Children's Book Author Award for 2025.
