Synopsis
Strong-willed Selma has a knack for falling out with everyone and everything. Perhaps it’s because, just like her mothers, Medea and Alice, she is secretly a witch. Selma dreams of the day her powers will awaken and she can do whatever she wants, whenever she wants! Unfortunately, her magic is taking its time.
When Selma accidentally sets the demon Baphomet free, he turns her mothers to stone and sets off to conquer the world. Selma is left all alone. Battling against — and alongside — classmates, the headmaster, the police, and ghosts from the past, she embarks on a cheeky, funny, and enchanting journey to lift her parents’ curse and defeat Baffo. As Selma learns to see beyond people’s facades and understand complicated emotions — her own and those of others — enemies become friends, loneliness becomes connection … and slowly, her magic begins to awaken.
For ages 10 and up.
