Synopsis

A girl lives in the dark behind a locked door. She has never seen the sky, the sun or the stars. But she is not alone. Her mum is there as well, and she is fast, strong, brave – and really good at crawling along the skirting boards. And through the bars of the metal grating, the girl can hear somebody singing…

This is a dark story about “Mowgli”-children; feral children who live in isolation and grow up with seldom – if any – human contact. All of them have little or no language.

With stunning illustrations by Cato Thau-Jensen.
