Synopsis

A brand new swing has arrived at the kindergarten. Jeppe and Asta can't wait to try it out, but Asta gets a little too excited. The new swing is very popular and Nille runs really fast towards the swing. Until she stops running. She falls and cries and says that Asta tripped her up. Asta denies it, but Jeppe saw what happened. He lies to the adults to protect his friend, but suddenly playing on the swing is no fun at all. And now it's Asta who's hurting. She has a tummy ache.

Reviews

"The books about Jeppe and Asta are a new series that follows the ordinary life of children in kindergarten – and they are excellent books to say the least! They capture in the finest way the everyday life that a child experiences in kindergarten, completely at the child's own level. It is fully relatable for the child who is listening, and the stories will be able to provide many good conversations between child and adult about big and small things. The beautiful illustrations with clear, recognizable facial expressions will make the story even easier to relate to for the child who is listening. We cannot wait to get more books in the series!" – (iBBY Denmark)

"The stories about Jeppe & Asta feel authentic, they address children's emotions, such as nervousness, joy and even conflict management, because it's hard not to make mistakes when you're a small (or big) person. The illustrations are colorful and fun, it's impossible not to get caught up in them! Perfect for reading aloud and for starting conversations about everyday challenges in kindergarten." – (Book blogger, Julie Ottosen)
