Tina Sakura Bestle (b. 1975) made her debut in 2004 with the picture book, Jok, and has since published numerous books, such as The Paper Boy and Shadow Bird, several of which were award nominees. In 2015, she received the Danish Arts’ Foundation special three-year work grant.
