Nicole Boyle Rødtnes
Nicole Boyle Rødtnes is a popular Danish children's book and YA writer
Nicole Boyle Rødtnes (born 1985) made her debut in 2010 with the critically acclaimed novel "Children of Death", the first in a series, that won her many fans.
As a youngster, Nicole struggled to read and spell and remembers with horror some of the easy reading books she was exposed to. She has, thus, promised herself that she will never write a boring book.
Nicole is educated at the Writers' School for Children's Literature and has a Master's degree in Danish. She has received several grants from the Art Foundation. She helps young people getting closer to their dream of being a writer. She believes that everyone can learn to write. She herself took all the writing courses she could get her hands on in order to constantly improve – and still does so regularly.
Nicole is also a popular speaker, and she herself believes that the reason for this is that she remembers what it was like to have 30 mistakes in dictation and hate reading. But at the same time, she can also tell the story of how it can all turn around, if only you find the right book that sparks the imagination and the desire to read.
