Jacinta Madsen

Danish author, journalist and illustrator, who has hosted several TV programs on popular children’s channel, Ramasjang (DR).

Jacinta Madsen (b. 1982) is a journalist with bachelor degree in Philosophy and a speciality in children’s and youth television. She has hosted and produced innumerable programs on the Danish public TV channel, DR, specifically for their hugely popular children’s channel, Ramasjang.

Jacinta’s stories centre around fundamental philosophical questions: what does it mean to be me? What is ”time” actually? Can we change the world if we change ourselves?

Through her work, she has experienced first-hand how children are very capable philosophers, who are seeking answers to life’s small and big questions. Even if there is rarely a clear answer, Jacinta thinks the most important task is to continue asking, exploring and seeking out answers – and she does exactly that in her stories.

Jacinta attends the Copenhagen Manuscript School for Children’s Fiction and has a studio in Århus where she works as an artist and illustrator.
