Bodil El Jørgensen (b. 1958) is praised for her language, well-composed stories and for her spot-on portrayals of girls. Apart from writing children's books, she works as a theatre instructor and drama teacher. Her books have been translated into German, Norwegian and Swedish in the past. She lives in Copenhagen with her family.
